Kind of dirt or chalk-like in substance, diatomaceous earth is a good natural home remedy for pinworms. When your child eats this it can slowly dehydrate the pinworms, eventually killing them. Make sure the earth is food-grade before feeding it to your child.

Tell your children to try to refrain from scratching their rectum. If your child scratches, then eggs could be trapped under their fingernails and transported to the things they touch, and then if someone else touches the eggs then they could get pinworms as well.

Children with high-sugar diets are the most likely to get pinworms. Try to limit your child’s sugar input to try to reduce the chance of getting pinworms. Worms can thrive in sugary environments. Try to feed your child more fruits and vegetables and whole grains to avoid an infestation.

Apple cider vinegar is a helpful way to get rid of pinworms. By drinking this it makes a hostile environment for the worms to live in. Put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a glass of water and drink it at least once a day. Do not use normal vinegar.

There are many medicines that you can buy without a prescription for pinworms.These are proven to work, even if they are more expensive than natural remedies. If symptoms get worse or it doesn’t seem like the worms are going away, then take your child to a doctor.
