Rather than immediately seeking treatment, waiting out the virus is also an option. The body is bound to clear the warts if left alone. So, if the symptoms accompanying warts are not overly overwhelming it is best to leave the warts and leave the treatment up to the immune system.

As ridiculous as this process sounds, clear nail paint can be applied to the wart. The paint must be left on the wart for an entire day and prior to bed. The nail paint must be applied until the wart falls off.


  1. Baking Soda

Baking soda works on skin problems like acne. The baking soda acts as an exfoliating agent and reduces inflammation. Baking soda will get rid of the virus.

Alternately, a spoon of baking soda can be combined with castor oil to make a paste instead of water. A baking powder paste can be made using water.  Baking powder paste must be rubbed on the warts to get rid of them. The paste must cover the wart in its entirety. The paste on the wart must be left to stay overnight.  The baking soda paste must be rinsed of the next morning and the surface of the skin must be dried completely. Do this for at least two weeks to see results.


  1. Vitamin E Oil

Applying the vitamin E oil on the wart covered with a bandage or gauze will cause the wart to disappear. The liquid from a vitamin E capsule must be placed on the wart. Do this once a day until you have recovered from your warts.


  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is proven to remove warts. The aloe treatment is cost-effective and a home remedy as well. Aloe Vera can be sourced from the aloe plant. The leaves alone are effective aloe treatment. The leaves found on the lower sphere of the plant are most effective as they are more aged than the ones higher up on the tree.

The aloe vera leaves once obtained must be stripped of all thorns. The pulp must be removed from the aloe leave and applied on the wart more than once daily. The aloe pulp will be placed on the wart using a cotton wool and covered with gauze. After the pulp is applied to the warts the area must be cleaned.

Sipping on aloe vera juice will also fight off the infection. Aloe Vera juice intake can reduce the size of the virus in the body.


  1. Licorice Root

A crushed licorice root applied to the wart can eliminate warts. This process should be repeated three times per week to get the best results.

  1. Oregano and Coconut Oil

Generally, oils can be a potent wart treatment. Wart reducing oils are tea tree, lemon, thyme and eucalyptus oils. To get rid of plantar warts, oregano can be combined with frankincense and coconut oil. This oil combination can be spread on the area few times daily.The oils must be liberally applied a week after disappearance to reduce the chances of symptoms reappearing.


  1. Witch Hazel

Witch hazel can take away warts. Place distilled witch hazel to warts for a few minutes throughout the day. This process must be repeated weekly.  Keep the genitals dry regularly.

Egypt and North African oral traditions have cited olive leaves for its antiviral and medical functions. The olive leaves must be drunk. To make the olive leaf tea, simply dry the olive leaves.  The stalk must be removed and allowed to sit in boiling water.

This tea can be strained and drunk throughout the day. The benefits of this olive leaf tea are that it can stop the virus from spreading and can treat warts both inside and outside the body. Since olive leaf tea acts as a blood thinner,  one must seek permission from a doctor to use this home treatment.


  1. Zinc

Zinc works on warts since wart infected people usually lack zinc. Consuming oral zinc may work. Consuming foods that are rich in zinc, like meat, can also help.


  1. Frankincense Oil

Frankincense oil ensures warts never come back once removed. The oil can be applied to infected portions using a cotton ball. Use this oil (diluted with a carrier oil) each day until you see results.


  1. Sit in a bath

Just sitting in a bath with water can help alleviate warts. The cooling effect of water is what comes in as an advantage here. It is one of the home remedies that is cheap to put to use.

  1.  Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) can be used on the warts with a cotton wool ball. This ACV soaked cotton ball must be left on the wart overnight.  For intense pain, the ACV must be kept on for as long as possible before the area is washed clean.


  1. Duct Tape

Covering the wart with medical tape can reduce the size of the wart and cause it to be removed. The duct tape must be left on the wart for at least a week. Once the tape is removed, the area must be rubbed with an emery board.


  1. Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid used as a wart removal treatment will smooth out the warts and make them fall off eventually. Warts can take time to be removed but the salicylic acid solution will remove the wart more easily. Prior to the usage of salicylic acid; the wart infected area must be soaked with water. The salicylic acid must thereafter be applied to the wart and left overnight and washed off in the morning. Use this home remedy every night until you no longer have genital warts.


  1. Onions

Onions have core ingredients that can alleviate warts.  The cure involves using onions and placing it directly on the warts. A bandage or tape can be placed over the onion slice on the wound to keep it in place. The bandage must be replaced regularly.

Salt can be mixed with onions to be a great treatment. A tablespoon of salt must be sprinkled on the onion which is thinly sliced. The onion salt mixture must be placed in a blender and put directly on the wart with some medicinal gauze. Onions will reduce warts within a month or two with consistent usage.


  1. Pineapple Juice

This juice is great to get rid of genital warts. Pineapples have enzymes that reduce warts and even get rid of them. Sipping on some pineapple juice cleanses the blood. Pineapple juice has manganese which fosters the skin to repair itself and prevents scars from forming.


  1.  Populus Euphratica Leaves

They would treat plantar warts in a box full of smoke from leaves of the Populus Euphratica tree. Although this treatment is used mostly for genital warts it can be effective to treat hands filled with warts too.

Dried Populus Euphratica leaves are necessary for this home remedy. These leaves must be lit on a fire in an outdoor setting. Once burnt, the leaves must be covered to prevent the limited oxygen from destroying the flames.  Put infected hands or feet above the smoke and leave it for a few minutes. Do not place hands and feet too near the smoke else blisters may form. The smoke contains sialic acid and anti-viral components.

  1. Silver Nitrate

Silver nitrate ointment can be rubbed on the wart. The nitrates sticks are an added option. Statistics that were reviewed shows that patients treated with the silver nitrate were cured fully. Use this consistently to see results.
