Almonds are fun pseudo nuts that can be eaten in a plethora of different ways. Almond oil, almond milk, and the almond nuts are all great ways to use this valuable food. For as many ways we have of eating them, they’re just about as many reasons as to why we should eat them. This is a list of why you should eat them.

  1.  Cholesterol

Almonds are high in vitamin E and its been shown that higher levels in your red blood cells and plasma can make your cholesterol levels better. Add this nut to your diet to see results.

  1. Heart Disease

Adding almonds to your diet have been shown to add antioxidant and blood lipids to your heart. More antioxidants and blood lipids are for improving blood flow, reducing blood pressure, and helping your overall heart health. Almonds also help to keep off the chances of having heart attacks because of the Vitamin E keeping inflammation down.

 

  1. Prevent Cancer

While antioxidants are good for helping to stave off any kind of cancer, but these almonds have been used to keep breast cancer off the best. Studies have shown that eating more almonds lessens your chances of getting breast cancer by two to three times.

The magnesium in almonds helps to control the blood sugar levels in type two diabetics. Most of the United States’ population have low magnesium levels and one-third of type two diabetics have low levels of magnesium which is not going to help them very much.

You could even replace cow’s milk with almond milk because the latter is lower in carbs, (cow’s milk having 12g a cup while almond only has 1.5g a cup). Almond does not raise blood sugar levels because of the fat and protein content. If you plan to replace cow’s milk with almond (even just sometimes) make sure you are getting the purest kind of it that you are able.

Vitamin E (a powerful antioxidant) is very important and can affect lots of different things in your body. This vitamin, in higher amounts, can do wonders for fighting various kinds of cancer and Alzheimer’s.

You want to be careful with just how much Vitamin E you take. No matter what you’re eating, too much will do damage. Too much vitamin E has been known to raise chances of males getting prostate cancer.

Vitamin E will also improve the health and overall condition of your skin as well as limit your chances of getting skin cancer.

Almonds keep you full for longer because they are packed full of fiber and protein. Not only do they keep you feeling full for longer, they are also used to lower the number of calories you intake.
